BIF Training develops practical brokerage knowledge and operating judgement. It can stand alone or address gaps identified by an independent BIF Diagnostic.
BIF Foundations can be taken independently. A BIF Diagnostic is not a prerequisite.

BIF Foundations
Practical brokerage operational literacy for people who need to understand how a brokerage function actually works. Seven self-paced modules combine teaching, worked cases, applied exercises and knowledge checks, followed by an operational capstone.
Allow approximately 7–9 hours, subject to pilot validation. Progress is saved through the BIF platform, with a Certificate of Completion after the learning requirements and pilot feedback.
Training develops capability. BIF Diagnostic independently assesses capability. Course completion does not create a Diagnostic classification.
Training Pathways
| Operational Foundations | Establish evidence language, source hierarchy, workflow sequencing and closure discipline. |
| Workflow Intelligence | Reconstruct order, price, exposure, reconciliation and P&L workflows across systems. |
| Exception Control | Investigate material exceptions, select the right validator and produce usable escalation packs. |
| Controlled Live Operations | Apply the method to supervised first-pass workflows within agreed boundaries. |
| Independent Operator Review | Test consistency, judgement and interruption tolerance before authority expands. |
Boundary Notice
Completion of training does not automatically establish independent operating authority. Capability must be demonstrated, and the firm retains responsibility for permissions, approvals, supervision and regulatory governance.
Future training
BIF Operator, BIF Advanced and specialist modules are future areas of development. Specialist topics include liquidity, execution, exposure and hedging, routing, brokerage economics, reconciliation, incident management, controls and governance.
